About Me
- Ms. Priester
- I teach English 9 and 10 at San Pasqual Academy. My students are all foster kids who are working hard to become successful adults. Even though I spend hours reminding them to do their homework, say appropriate words, pay attention, and just be nice, they make me smile everyday as I drive to work. When I'm not at SPA, I enjoy spending time in my new house in Santee with my two puppies, Savannah and Nashville. I spend my summers at Camp Winacka and Camp Whispering Oaks, working for Girl Scouts. Before I began teaching at SPA, I taught and coached at Mountain Empire Jr./Sr. High School, which is my alma mater. I also attended Mount Saint Mary's College, which is a little women's college in Los Angeles. Recently, I was fortunate to receive a full-ride scholarship to Ashford University to earn a Master of Arts in Teaching and Learning with Technology. Through the content I will learn while earning this degree, I hope to help increase the graduation rate among my students and better prepare them for success after graduation.
